Narr – the narrativist literary magazine has been publishing voices that have not yet been heard elsewhere since 2011. It thus offers readers an insight into the literature of the future and young writers a platform for their first steps in the literary world. The magazine is published three times a year and carefully designed special projects are carried out on an irregular basis. Around 200 authors have published in Narr, making it one of the most important Swiss literary magazines.

The Narr maintains numerous collaborations with literary institutions, such as the Buchbasel, the Solothurn Literature Days or Literaare. The Narr's readings are - sometimes classic, sometimes unconventional - meeting places for authors and readers, generate discussions in a relaxed atmosphere and celebrate the joy of the spoken word.

In 2016, the magazine was awarded the Canton of Solothurn Art and Culture Prize for literature. This was followed in 2018 by the nomination for the Federal Swiss Design Award for design and in 2019 by the nomination for the Swiss Design Prize. In 2020, Narr was nominated for the Willy Fleckhaus Prize in Germany.

Das Narr is supported by the Däster-Schild Foundation, the Aargau Board of Trustees and the Basel-City Culture Department.
