The first regular issue of Popchop magazine – it’s 140 pages long, full of interesting, amusing and – in our humble opinion – really nice contributions from our editorial team and fantastic guest authors.

Popchop was the vision of festival founder and editor Matthias Balgavý, who realized the format together with Philipp Stürzenbecher for the first time in 2022 in the form of a three-day festival. The focus of the content is on promoting awareness of our future food culture, culinary hedonism, innovative food production and its economic, ecological and social impact.

Matthias and Philipp’s centerpiece, the Popchop magazine, both in print and online, explores relevant topics with journalistic care and curiosity. They cover everything that significantly influences our food culture – from production and agriculture to gastronomy and technology. The approach is creative, innovative and based on facts, packaged in a sophisticated magazine design.
