Pleasurable – A Solution-oriented Approach to Pain During Sex
What if the supposedly most beautiful secondary thing in the world hurts? And what if this affects an estimated 7-30% of all women and people with vulvas? Why this is so, what the versatile causes can be and above all what we can do against it - this is exactly what this project is about: With the goal: Less Pain, More Pleasure!
The workpiece, a book, should educate and empower readers in their sexuality and offer concrete solutions for unwanted pain. The multifaceted causes of pain, from physical (e.g. vaginismus or endometriosis) to psychological reasons (such as psychosomatic pain or the consequences of sexual violence) have not yet been collected and categorized. Therefore, in the course of my bachelor thesis, I have dealt extensively with unwanted pain during sex, specifically in cis-women and people with vulvas/vaginas. I want to show those affected that they are not »broken« and have a right to a fulfilling, pain-free sexuality. Furthermore I want to encourage an open, shame-free conversation about this topic.
