Swiss design meets decorative thread stitching. In this workshop, Anna Frey will show you how to stitch a book block using the “French link stitch binding” and laminate it into a softcover. You will learn all the important materials and basics of bookbinding and then bind a 128-page book block made from high-quality 100 g uncoated paper. The special thing about the Swiss brochure: after opening the cover, the spine of the book block with thread stitching is visible. This not only looks great, but also impresses with its particularly good opening behavior.

Under the name “Workshops von Frey“, graphic designer Anna Frey offers workshops and lovingly designed step-by-step instructions on all aspects of bookbinding. With her “Workshops von Frey”, the trained graphic designer rethinks classic bindings – and builds a bridge between tradition and modernity with the combination of high-quality materials and characteristic, minimalist design.

Cancellation conditions: Cancellation free of charge is possible up to 20 days before the start of the course. Cancellations made later, up to 14 days before the start of the event, will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the participation fee. Cancellations within 14 days before the start of the course, as well as non-registration or non-attendance, will be charged the full participation fee. If fewer places have been paid for up to 1 day before the start of the course, the event will be canceled and the full course fee will be refunded.
