Wie Wien Wohnt is a book about real apartments, real conversations, and what has made Vienna so special for years: the people and their spaces. For six years, Marie-Louise Gahleitner has been documenting the diverse and creative ways people live in Vienna; now this is being turned into a one-of-a-kind printed edition of 500 copies. Each apartment will be featured on four pages with text, photos, and little moments that wouldn’t make it onto Instagram. There will also be an English summary for each person featured—covering both their story and the text about their respective apartment.
Marie-Louise Gahleitner is the creator of the Instagram account ”Wie Wien Wohnt.” There, she showcases how people in Vienna decorate their homes, with the aim of telling stories.
