MALBUM is an artistic project that is somewhere between a children's colouring book and an artist's book. Inspired by the freedom with which children approach colouring, each MALBUM is designed by an artist according to their mood.
The little art colouring book consists of a potentially infinite number of editions. For each of these editions, we invite a different artist to design a book. Specially created works and reflections adorn the pages of each book and invite you to exchange ideas. If you feel like painting yourself, you can immortalise your Impromptu creations right away.
As a colouring book with thick paper pages, it is made for young and old, for at home and on the go. The format is easy to take with you and forgives the many journeys until it is fully coloured. When the time comes, the collection of artworks can go on the bookshelf and the next MALBUM will hopefully not be far away.
MALBUM is for everyone.
Age recommendations in every MALBUM help parents or generous aunts, uncles, grandmothers and the like to choose the right book for the very youngest children between the ages of 1 and 7. MALBUM aims to playfully support parents in their important role by providing brief information on the child's current developmental phase, which is currently taking place, will soon be taking place or has perhaps already passed. The artists are selected according to the respective phase.
What the children then do with the book remains and should remain entirely up to them.
