Colour Palate is an artist book for kids (and adult-kids) about cooking, food, colour, and play, featuring 12 recipe prompts alongside 24 different colour swatches.
Colour Palate is specifically not a cookbook: there are neither instructions nor steps to follow, and no required ingredients to buy. Instead, pure blocks of colour take the place of ingredients, and the reader is encouraged to flip, arrange, and re-arrange the swatches to create their own “colour recipes.”
Thousands of different colour—and thereby flavour—combinations are possible, making the book a tool for learning how to cook through abstract exploration, play, and intuition.
