Anna Breit’s working method is characterised by an intimate, documentary-artistic approach, in which she captures interpersonal relationships through analogue photography and a precise eye.
The catalogue accompanying the exhibition of the same name at the Francisco Carolinum presents portraits of three generations – grandmother, mother and the artist herself. Archival images meet new analogue photographs; gestures and textiles become vessels of memory. This creates a photographic dialogue between past and present – an intimate, multi-layered view of family, transience and what remains.
