No previous knowledge is required to take part in this course. All working materials will be provided.
The Japanese binding impresses with its visible, decorative stitching – and is not only beautiful to look at but also very easy to implement. During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to create your own personal book in A4 format. In addition to a brief historical insight, you will learn the most important basic terms, tools and techniques.
Under the name ‘Workshops by Frey’, graphic designer Anna Frey offers workshops and lovingly designed step-by-step instructions on all aspects of bookbinding. With her ‘Workshops by Frey’, the trained graphic designer rethinks classic bindings – and builds a bridge between tradition and modernity with the combination of high-quality materials and characteristic, minimalist design.
