Lisa Edi – Rest in Dispeace – Magazine Release Party

Wednesday, 21 May 2025, 18:00–22:00
Softcover, Stumpergasse 53-55, 1060 Vienna

For over a year, Lisa Edi has been working on a photographic series that seeks a new visual language for the climate crisis. Moving away from journalistic disaster reporting and common clichés — like the polar bear on the ice floe — this series explores a visual void, aiming to sensitively approach this weighty subject.

The result is a magazine featuring twelve political posters that combine visual statements with collected data and facts about the climate crisis (supported by Klimadashboard and the austrian Umweltdachverband). Inspired by the activist aesthetics of the 1960s and 70s, Rest in Dispeace invites to an analog protest. The magazine is suitable for backing up arguments during your next debate with a climate-change-denying relative, as restroomdoor décor, for crafting a protest sign, or for “redecorating” election posters — complete with a DIY glue recipe.

The posters / the magazine are available free of charge. Anyone wishing to support the project can help finance a large advertising space. Donations can be made at the release event.

This publication was supported by the Cultural Department of the City of Vienna in the form of a working grant.
