95 percent of all photo books worldwide are pure collections of photographic material, without dramaturgy or suspense. In this lecture, independent mentor, art critic and curator Kristin Dittrich presents five photo books from the Softcover product range. How can you curate a good photo book and how is it better not to? What are successful and unsuccessful photo book dramaturgies?
This will be followed by the workshop “Curating Photography – Mastering the Photo Book” with Kristin Dittrich from April 4 to 6.
