Anna Breit – Look Book – 01
Fotohof Edition, 2024
‘Look Book – 01’ is the second book by photographer Anna Breit (born 1991 in Vienna; lives and works in Vienna). It comprises over 100 photos from the photographer’s archive from 2018 to 2024, all of which are excerpts – mainly from commissioned works. The original images were deliberately destroyed by the artist and the frame was thus reset. The commissioned work no longer exists and is also the main starting point for this playful artistic work. What remains are grainy faces, which are arranged serially on the pages as close-ups without interruption. In Look Book – 01, Anna Breit plays with the interface between applied and artistic photography.

Eric Asamoah – Forever Lasts Until It Ends
Distanz Verlag, 2024
Eric Asamoah’s (born 1999 in Linz) photographic practice is characterised by his engagement with progressive Black intellectual currents. He navigates the complexities of what it means to be young, Black and grounded in a diasporic visual culture. Before translating his ideas into compositions, Asamoah records his thoughts in diary entries and notes. Far from merely serving as preparatory sketches, these texts provide the emotional foundation that impressively sets his photographic projects apart from other young contemporaries.
